Welcome to the MolTools Java library project!
The MolTools Java library is a Java software library aimed at providing support for developing applications that handle, manipulate, and analyze biological sequence data. The primary effort is focused on the handling of nucleotide sequence data.
The MolTools library software is free, open-source software and all users are invited to contribute to the further development of the software by suggesting and/or making improvements.
The principal developer is Johan Stenberg of the Molecular Medicine research group at the Department of Genetics and Pathology, Uppsala University
Features of the library include:
- Basic sequence manipulation
- Sequence analysis utilities (alignments, Tm calculations)
- Flexible, modular sequence data input system
